It was only a few days ago that I had met the wonderfully warm Kayla Kane. She's traversed the northern California mountaintops to settle down as a desert dweller to pursue ballet school full-time. She's a total gem, you guys.
We had been aiming to shoot for awhile now, but couldn't figure out the perfect spot or place. On the whim, Kayla had mentioned about her good friends' Airstream and proclaimed how "sweet it would be to use it for an hour or so". Well, ladies and gentlemen it happened. We shot in an Airstream and my heart skipped 20 beats during the process.
I'm in love with Airstreams. Absolutely head-over-heels in love. I think a part of this admiration comes from my father's passionate collection of vintage vehicles in our backyard. We've discussed on multiple occasions how rad it would be to have an Airstream of our own. In fact, a few months back I had made a promise to myself that I WILL one day renovate an old beat-up camper and take my kids out in the backcountry with it years down the line. It can be their cove for weekend sleepovers and an extra seating lounge for summer barbecues.
